About Me

Aneshia Solomon, LPC, NCC, CSTIP

Helping People Build Relationships with Intention

I believe that the quality of our relationships shapes the quality of our lives.

Whether it's the relationship we have with ourselves, our partners, our families, or our communities, healthy relationships don't happen by accident—they are built with intention. That belief has become the foundation of both my personal life and my professional work.

I'm Aneshia Solomon, a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, public health professional, and doctoral student in Human Sexuality specializing in Sex Therapy. Through my work as the founder of Nera Counseling and Wellness, I have the privilege of helping individuals and couples navigate communication, intimacy, sexual wellness, trust, trauma, and life's most difficult conversations.

But therapy is only one part of what I do.

My passion is creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and empowered to build relationships that reflect who they are and who they hope to become. Sometimes that happens in a counseling office. Other times it happens through retreats, workshops, keynote presentations, consulting, educational resources, or simply a meaningful conversation that changes the way someone sees themselves.

At the heart of everything I create is the belief that healing and connection are possible when people are given the space to show up authentically.

Why This Work Matters to Me

Some of my earliest lessons about leadership and entrepreneurship came from my father, who owned a printing company for more than thirty years. As a young adult, I worked alongside him and watched him make decisions that prioritized integrity over profit. I remember him telling me,

"You never have to compromise your morals or your values for money because if you do that, you've become bankrupt morally."

Those words have stayed with me throughout my career.

They gave me the courage to walk away from a six-figure executive leadership position when I realized the organization's direction no longer aligned with my values. They continue to shape how I lead Nera Counseling and Wellness today—partnering with community organizations, investing in collaborative relationships, advocating for equitable compensation, and creating spaces that prioritize both wellness and justice.

For me, success has never been measured only by what I accomplish. It's measured by how I serve people and whether I remain faithful to the values that guide my work.

Beyond the Therapy Room

My vision extends beyond clinical practice.

I believe relationship and sexual wellness should be accessible in many different forms. Whether someone attends therapy, joins a couples retreat, uses one of my conversation tools, invites me to speak at a conference, or partners with me to develop programs for their organization, my mission remains the same:

To help people build healthier, more intentional relationships.

As both a clinician and scholar, I am particularly passionate about advancing conversations around intimacy, sexuality, Black relationships, social justice, and relational wellness. My work seeks to bridge research and practice, ensuring that evidence-based knowledge translates into meaningful change for individuals, couples, organizations, and communities.

A Few Things That Matter to Me

When I'm not working, you'll probably find me…

Laughing with the people I love.

Dreaming up new ideas over a cup of coffee.

Reading research that challenges the way I think.

Planning my next retreat or educational resource.

Believing that meaningful conversations have the power to transform relationships.

I don't believe in perfect relationships.

I believe in intentional ones.

And I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
